Romantic appartment in the tower of Tassarolo Castle

Surrounded by meadows, forests and vineyards, the Castle is located in a hilly region of Piedmont, easily accessible from the three main cities of North Italy: Milan, Turin and Genoa. It was built around 1000 AD to control the only main road between the Republic of Genoa and the rest of Europe. Since 1367 it has been owned by Spinola family, an aristocratic Italian family who still live there to this day. 

Around the castle there are paths for hiking, biking or riding, as well as best food and wine tours, including tours of the vineyards surrounding the castle that are owned by the Spinola family. Within the village there are two shops for provisions as well as two good restaurants, one of which is also a pizzeria, and several small bars, and further afield there are excellent restaurants in Gavi and Novi Ligure, all within a 10km drive. 
For golf lovers, there is the Golf Club 'Hills of Gavi' in the valley nearby, while for shoppers the Serravalle Designer Outlet, the largest in Europe, is just a ten minute drive. You are less than a one hour drive from the centre of Genoa, and an hour and twenty minutes from the centre of Turin and Milan. 

OS Castle, located in one of the towers of the Castle of Tassarolo, is a special holiday home-from-home where you can enjoy the results of a thousand years of history and elegant living.
The apartment is accessed by a winding staircase, and commands exceptional views of the surrounding area, from distant vistas to the deer grazing freely in the adjoining park. 

The atmosphere inside this recently restored apartment retains its cosy and intimate qualities, and has all modern conveniences including wi-fi and a flat screen TV.
